Equipment Requirements & Rebate Amounts

Northern Rural Energy Network (NREN) rebates are available for PG&E customers within the following service territory: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Mendocino, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, Tuolumne, and Yuba counties.

Rebates are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rebate offerings are dependent on available funding and may change at any time. Please check rebate requirements below before purchasing.

Used, refurbished, or rebuilt equipment is NOT eligible for rebates. Installations in new construction or home additions that add >30% square footage to the home are NOT eligible for rebates.

Due to CPUC restrictions, projects replacing propane equipment are not eligible for NREN heat pump rebates, although we hope to be able to add this type of rebate to our offerings in the future. Feel free to reach out to your local NREN representative with any questions.

Note: There are requirements listed for the unit being replaced in addition to the requirements for the unit being installed. Installations that do not meet both the installed unit requirements and existing unit requirements are not eligible for rebates.  To apply for rebates that list the Replaced Fuel Type of “Natural Gas”, you must have an active natural gas account with Pacific Gas & Electric Company and be replacing existing natural gas equipment.
