The Public Agency Energy Services program helps rural public agencies reduce energy use and lower utility costs through no-cost technical assistance and expert support. We help overcome barriers like limited staff and funding by providing energy planning, project development, funding referrals, grant writing, and access to incentives for energy efficiency, solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle projects.

What is the Northern Rural Energy Network?

We provide energy efficiency program services to PG&E, Pioneer Community Energy, Sonoma Clean Power, and Redwood Coast Energy Authority customers in the following 17 Northern California counties:

Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Mariposa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, Tuolumne, and Yuba.
